Fragile sea hearts

This ceramic cradle contains seven of the thinnest organic shells of sea urchins, known as 'heart urchins' (Echinocardium cordatum). They were retrieved by the artist from depths of 10-20 meters and placed into custom-made slots equipped with LED lighting.

On the front part of the piece, there's a heart rate monitor installed. It reads the heartbeat of a person and synchronizes it with the lighting, creating a unified and subtly delicate connection with sea hearts.
